When Cindy’s name comes to mind, one can only think of the enthusiasm, passion, dedication, and the caring way she has always had about her. Her 30 year career has spanned bedside hospital obstetrical nursing, office nursing practice, and then women and family nurse practitioner. As a trained family nurse practitioner, she was able to expand her scope of knowledge beyond women’s specific health concerns and was able to see the more holistic approach that is needed for all patients – the well and the striving to be well. As her supervising physician for 15 years, I had the pleasure of seeing how Cindy cared for patients every day – both from a clinical and technical perspective and from the critical human touch perspective.
As Cindy embarks on the next phase of her journey in helping others, she is exceedingly well prepared. Her passion for helping others achieve wellness is palpable, visual, and is readily heard in her voice. Her personal fight to regain wellness following her Lyme disease diagnosis was challenging for her and her family. But in typical Cindy fashion, she used her own pain as a motivation for helping others avoid or overcome similar events. Cindy is already a fabulous wellness advocate, and she undoubtedly will help many more people and their families in her new venture.
